Valentine’s Day is just two weeks away, and The Sims 4 is starting the celebration early with the new Romantic Garden Stuff pack. On February 9th, players can decorate their Sims and their gardens with lovely floral objects and outfits.
Give your garden a Victorian makeover and create an ideal romantic spot with dreamy statues, beautiful fountains, and a colorful assortment of flora.
Rest your derrieres and cuddle up alongside the edge of the Fountain of Gluteus Maximus. Create a moment right out of a sitcom opening sequence by jumping in and splashing around with a friend. Mischievous Sims can slip some soap in the water for a bit of bubbly fun.
Make a wish and throw a coin into the Whispering Wishing Well for one of fifty different outcomes. The effects could be life changing, for better or worse, so be careful what you wish for! Watch out for the well’s mood, for the consequences of a poorly timed wish could be dire.
These objects and more can be found at The Lost Gardens of Healing, a new park venue. The gardens are filled with the quaint tunes of the Baroque radio station, inspired by the 1600s style of music.
This time it’s a pre-stuff pack update gearing up for the Movie Hangout pack coming out next week!
Create your own personalized cinema with these 8 new movie posters based on previously released promotional trailers for The Sims 4. Now you can reminisce the moments when Amber’s theme song played for the very first time — or take a trip down memory lane when those doctors stripped down in the Malpractice video. Each poster is beautifully encased in a glossy frame, adding a splash of color that’s perfect for your entertainment room.

A long-time staple feature to the Sims series has finally returned. If your Sim behaves inappropriately at a neighbor’s house, they may ask for your Sim to leave the premises.
Last but not least is a change to the way Sims react to fights. Sims will cheer on friends who win a fight, while enemies will cheer when their adversary loses.
The Sims 4 Movie Hangout Stuff introduces everything your Sims need for an awesome movie night with their friends and family. Coming next week on January 12th, this pack includes new fashions, furniture, and gameplay opportunities!
Take a seat on one of the all-new sofas with a snack and get ready for the film to begin on the Movie Projector Screen. Choose from one of ten movies, ranging from action and comedy to romance and horror. There are even a couple of family movies, great for the kids.
Pop a perfect bowl of popcorn to munch on with the Popcorn Popper. Classic buttered popcorn, cheddar, caramel, and kettle styles are all available to pick from.
Create and decorate your ideal movie space, indoor or out, with an assortment of new Bohemian themed room objects. Start a new Sim fashion trend with a selection of similarly styled outfits and a few new hairstyles to boot.
As a DJ, your sole responsibility is to keep the party pumping with the hottest tunes across every genre. But the only way to reach max stardom is to practice on the turntable. The Sims 4: Get Together provides aspiring DJs a plethora of DJ Booths which can be upgraded to create an even more spectacular event.
Obviously, your first order of business is to purchase a DJ Booth. As your sim practices on the turntables, they’ll unlock new music genres and upgrades for the DJ Booth.

The Wireless Display Override allows Telesplosion to take control of nearby video monitors.
DJ Booths first become upgradedable when the DJ Mixing skill reaches level 6. These upgrades require your Sim to have a certain amount of Common and Electronic upgrade parts. A quick way to gather these items is to have a Sim with a high level handiness skill buy the parts from a computer. From here you can ferry these parts over to the DJing Sim to let them upgrade the DJ Booth.
At level 7, you’ll gain access to the particle generator and plasma display upgrade. Once implemented, the Particle Generator’s effects can be toggled through the [Control Panel] button on the DJ booth.
One other interesting upgrade is the “Telesplosion” effect. This upgrade displays looping animations on TV screens nearby. Unfortunately these animations do not sync up well with the video shown on the DJ booth.
At level 8, DJs will be allowed to create their own custom mixes. These mixes take pretty much the entire day to create. But once it’s completed, you can name the mix and play it during parties or gain royalties from licensing the mix at the mailbox.
“Get Hyped,” and “Feel the Crowd,” are two interactions you can perform to the audience at the DJ Booth. The former draws onlookers into the audience, while the latter attempts to change the mood of the crowd. There’s only four moods to choose from: confident, flirty, dazed, and energetic. Choose wisely, as initiating this action will disable it for a period of time.

Dancing Skill
Unlike the DJing skill, the Dancing skill caps off at level 5. As your Sim levels up, they’ll gain new dance moves they can perform alone or with a group! This skill is incredibly easy to level up. In fact, making everyone dance together in a group is a surefire way to max out their skill levels.
Sims can practice dance moves at a stereo, DJ booth, full-length mirror, or on a dance floor.

Acquires Retro Sneakers in CAS
All dance moves, whether solo or in a group, must be performed on a dance floor. At the start of the routine, your Sim will begin to shoo away nearby sims. While performing their moves, there’s a slight chance they mess up and even sit out the rest of the performance.
Sims will unlock the Portable Dance Mat and Retro Sneakers as they progress through the skill. The portable dance mat is reminiscent to those old cardboard mats used in the breakdancing scene in the 80’s.
The Sims 4 has received its pre-expansion pack update in preparation for Get Together’s release on December 8th. A bit of new content, huge interface overhauls, and welcome changes to group behavior are included within the patch.
Players using 64-bit Windows will be greeted with a new 64-bit version of The Sims 4’s executable file upon launching the game. This is an automatic process, requiring no user input. However, you can check and switch between either version by opening the Game Properties through Origin as pictured above. For more information, see EA’s FAQ page.
Players can finally create public pool lots with the all-new Pool Venue. On top of that, you can now customize the color of the pool’s water to either the default or purple through the Pool Water Styles menu in Build Mode.
The World Maps have received a splash of color, along with a completely overhauled household interface. Circular portraits of each family member will appear at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to view their traits and current location. Clicking on the visit button, indicated by an airplane icon, will allow you to quickly visit the selected lot with any Sims currently living in a house.
With clubs coming in the Get Together expansion, the way social groups are handled has been updated with new options and a fresh overhead symbol. Through the Actions section of the social menu, you can now add or remove Sims to and from a group. Sims in a group who wander off can easily be brought back together with new interactions for performing things together (e.g. Go Here Together). Additionally, Sims traveling together will automatically be placed in a group.
The relationship inspector that appears at the top of the screen when socializing with another Sim looks a bit different now. Small portraits of each Sim in a group will now display at the top.
Several new buttons can be found in Live Mode. In the top right corner of the screen you’ll notice the Manage Worlds button is now available. Down by the time controls you can find a new Camera Options button, expanding into an additional three for taking screenshots, recording videos, and accessing the newly updated Screenshots & Memories interface. The Camera Controls menu also includes new options for quickly switching between the Sims 3 and Sims 4 camera styles.
In other news, the long straight hairstyle previously available for female children exclusively can now be used on boys too!

The Holiday Celebration Pack was first released in 2014 as optional DLC for those who wish to have a more festive experience. This year it returns with six brand new items to decorate your home just in time for Christmas.
Among the list of items are “Decorative Presents,” which are actually a pair of objects with boxes stacked with gifts for the holiday. The “Snowflake Replica” provides wintry ambiance for the home in a decorative ice sculpture replica made entirely out of plastic. On the wall towards the back are “Snowflake Decals” that come with two different designs in 5 pairs of colors. Lastly is the “Pre-Strung Tree of Lights” which allows you to decorate your surroundings with a tree wrapped in Christmas lights.
But wait there’s more! Now your sims can deck the halls at their next family gathering with 4 new formal outfits, one for each gender of child and adult.
Today’s reveal marked an introduction of the various sights and sounds your Sims can explore in the European inspired world of Windenburg. In our last post, we were only given a glimpse at one of the venues in the Business District, but today we were excited to see other areas too, like the public pool and café!
The Café offers Sims a chance to dine on freshly brewed espresso and decadent croissants. A barista will be inside ready to take an order!
Next up is our first official Public Pool! Known as the “Bath du Rill,” this venue will allow Sims to sit underneath the shade of a beach umbrella, or take a splash into the pristine waters using the “Diving Platform.”
Off into the countryside is the pub where Sims can hang out playing darts, foosball, and even Jenga!
Way off into the distance is the “Bluffs” a mountainous island with decaying ruins. Here Sims will be able to swim in the Natural Pool!
Last but not least is the Von Haunt estate, a luxurious manor haunted by ghosts! Here your Sims can explore an exquisite garden maze.
The party doesn’t stop there, however. Head downtown to the club for a dancing extravaganza, or over to the ruins for some after hours fun with a portable bar and enticing bushes.
Maxis released yet another trailer for The Sims 4: Get Together! This time, the video focuses on new skills where Sims can bust out the hottest dance moves or play the latest tunes on the DJ Booth.
With practice, Sims can level up their DJ skills to unlock more types of music to play. Once they reach a certain level, they’ll gain the ability to “pump up the crowd” causing Sims nearby to fist pump the music. There will also be a new trait called “The Dance Machine,” being described with the ability to help your Sim pick up new dance moves.
Aside from that, we learned you can dance in-sync with your club members and even challenge one of them to a dance battle!
The trailer also briefly showed off a new section of Windenburg which appears to be the Business district shown in the concept artwork. This modern locale sits on a pier surrounded by Tudor style buildings off into the distance.
Within this district is a new dance club, one of the few locations you can show off your new dance moves in The Sims 4: Get Together!
The Sims 4 is back with a brand new update that adds the Trick vs. Treat Challenge rewards and the long awaited Repair Technician service!
Repairmen, now called Repair Technicians, have finally arrived. They can be hired from the phone’s services menu, costing a base fee of 100 simoleons and an additional 10 per hour. Upon arrival they’ll march straight to work, repairing any broken plumbing or appliances in the home.
Aspiring handymen can even ask the technician for repair advice, resulting in a small boost to their handiness skill.
The results of the TeamTrick vs. TeamTreat Challenge are in! The forces of Team Trick just weren’t strong enough, and Team Treat won all three rounds. As such, the following items have been added to the game:
Edgar the Generous (Door)
The Gumber Fesh Bow (Fish Bowl)
The Ornate Beauty (Storage Chest)
The fish bowl also introduces the Gummie Guppie fish, which can mounted and placed on a wall. With the challenge over, the trick and treat social interactions have been removed from the game.

This week’s brand new trailer revealed more details on the operations of Social Clubs in The Sims 4: Get Together! A social club is a gathering of Sims who share a similar set of characteristics that follow a set of rules governed by the club leader. Club leaders are marked by a golden crown above their club’s symbol.
When forming a Club, your Sim needs to decide upon a name and icon to represent their club during social gatherings.
Each club is comprised of a list of requirements which can be set by age, career, marital status, financial status, trait, and skill levels. You can freely choose which set of rules should be applied to the club. However, be aware that this may disqualify potential candidates when they fail to meet the requirements.
You may also choose a list of activities your club wishes to engage in. Whenever they do these activities, they’ll gain points which can be spent on special perks. You can also choose activities your club refuses to perform, like being mean or getting in fights.
Here you can spend the points you’ve earned on various perks like skill boosts, social bonuses, club handshakes, and club vibes. For example, you can purchase a vibe to set your club’s mood as being playful or energetic.
And last but not least is the Club Hangout, where your Sims can relax in a house filled with activities you provide. At Simcitizens, we happened to notice the diving platforms, one made out of rocks, and another with a modern design.
