Celebrate Valentine’s Day in The Sims 4 with a WooHoo Weekend event! Starting February 13th through the 15th, Maxis wants your Sims to get busy under the sheets.
If players can collectively amass a total of over 4 million uses of the WooHoo interaction, they’ll add a naughty new gnome object sporting a mosaic. New hairstyles may even be added if players can exceed 5 million!
These rewards will be added in a free patch in March.
The Sims is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a new update for The Sims 4!
The main menu of the game has been revamped, adding banners, links to the latest patch notes and forums, and a Create New Household button for active saves.
Family trees are back, now called Genealogy. A Sim’s family tree can be accessed by clicking the Genealogy button in the Simology panel. Hovering over a Sim’s portrait will display their name, career, spouse, relation to the selected Sim, and cause of death if applicable. Married Sims are differentiated by a pink line connecting their portraits in the tree.
New Valentine’s themed clothing were added to Create-A-Sim, including one t-shirt per gender, boxers for men, and lingerie for women.
Four new objects can be found in Build Mode, including:
Whims (excluding emotional ones) can now be pinned, preventing them from being cycled out. To do so, hover over a whim and click the small Pin button.

To celebrate The Sims franchise’s 15th Anniversary on February 4th, Origin is offering a free trial for The Sims 4!
Starting January 22nd (4:00 PM PST) through February 2nd (10:00 AM PST), Origin users can download and play The Sims 4 for 48 hours at no cost! The Sims 4 joins the ranks of games such as Titanfall and Battlefield 4 as part of Origin’s Game Time program.

Hidden in the Granite Falls Forest lies the entrance to a secret lot known as the Hermit’s House! While you’re on vacation, fast travel to the Granite Falls Forest National Park to start your adventure.
During your expedition you will encounter multiple scenarios in which you must choose the correct answer to proceed. Some of these scenarios come in two different forms, indicated in our guide with an A or B.

Upon further investigation, you stumble upon either a web blocking your path (A) or a bubbling brook (B). You could try to find another route to avoid the web, or stop to fish in the brook.
Keep Walking or Go Through Web
A) Face your fears and traverse through the spider web. The other route is much worse, trust me.
B) Congratulations! You’ve just avoided a painful encounter with Ursus Arctos!
You may now find yourself growing tired and are given an option to rest (A). Otherwise you’ll spot a shiny object in the distance (B).
Sally Forth or Ignore The Object
A) Sure, take a nap. That’s if you don’t mind ticks attacking you in your sleep.
B) Avert thine eyes! That’s no object, but a woodland monster!
Traveling onward, you’ve discovered a sacred cove. But who is that mysterious Sim?

Not to worry, brave adventurer, it’s just a peaceful hermit! You’re now free to befriend him, mooch off of his belongings, and fish to thine heart’s content!

Tomorrow marks the release day of the full Outdoor Retreat trailer. This time we got a look at the new horseshoes activity and some of the new build mode objects included in the pack. Sims can end a romantic night of sitting by the campfire and gazing at the stars with a little woohoo in their tent.
We’ll be breaking down all of the game pack’s content in our overview after its release this week.
A new 16-second long teaser for the Outdoor Retreat game pack was released today. The full trailer is scheduled to arrive sometime next week, so stay tuned!
New content is coming to The Sims 4 starting in January in the form of Game Packs. A Game Pack is much like the Stuff Packs of previous Sims games, but with additional gameplay content as well. These are the first paid content packs for the game and cost $20.
Outdoor Retreat is the first of these packs. It includes a new area called Granite Falls. new costumes such as a bear suit, new hairstyles, and new objects to interact with like a campfire and tents. Additional info is coming in January, so stay tuned!
Announced back in October, the highly anticipated careers update is now available!
The Athlete and Business career tracks were added to the game, each with two branches.
At level 7 of the Athlete career, a Sim can choose between the Professional Athlete and Bodybuilder branches. while Sims in the Business career have a choice of either Management or Investor branches.
In addition to the new careers, Sims can now acquire Paid Time Off by going to work, and have three days at the start. Female Sims can go on Family Leave during their third trimester of pregnancy, and both parents can take off after the birth of their child.
Many small adjustments were made to the game with this update, most notably:
Three new cheats were added to the game, and another was fixed. Testing cheats (testingcheats on) must be enabled in order for these cheats to work.
The Set as Head cheat has been fixed and can now actually be used. After enabled testing cheats, you can shift click on any object and place it on your active Sim’s head.
The sims.give_satisfaction_points # cheat allows you to instantly give your Sim satisfaction points based on the number inputted.
Players looking to unlock all career reward furniture without doing the work can use the bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement cheat.
At last, the Move Objects cheat has made it to The Sims 4! bb.moveobjects allows you to place any item in any location, disregarding placement rules. In addition, pushing the 0 number key will move an object down, while the 9 number key will move it up.
SimCitizens is back with another new mod for The Sims 4. The Frohawk hairstyle comes in all 18 default colors and is available for male Sims.
