Maxis recently spilled the beans on their next stuff pack coming to The Sims 4. This time you can swap out your old and dusty kitchen decor, with new sleek and stylish cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Transform your kitchen into a modern marvel, by purchasing new items like the Ice Cream Maker! This one of a kind device lets you create ice cream in 30 different flavors using toppings such as banana slices, whipped cream, and sprinkles. But the new content doesn’t stop just there, as Sims will be offered new trendy, yet casual clothing and hairstyle options to choose from.
As a special treat, Simmers will also receive a FREE dishwasher in a new patch coming later next week. Hopefully this can be seen to help fill some of the remaining gaps in the Sims 4’s base content.

Perfect your patios with the ensemble of furniture included in The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff!
The new GrillZone grill (by GrillMania) is excellent for a backyard barbecue. Pair it with the purely decorative rack of tongs and trio of sauces for a touch of added detail. Serve up those tasty dishes grilled to perfection on the new granite topped counters.
Suitable for either indoor or outdoor environments, this set of wicker seating is both stylish and versatile. New lighting objects include a classy o-shaped decoration, lantern, and light up chess pieces.
Obscure your patio from the eyes of prying neighbors with the new slatted fence and gate, along with privacy hedges. Circular fountain decorations spout a small stream of water from the top that cascades over the sides.
Choose between a polymer hot tub with a wood cabinet or a tub of stone for your Sims to relax in. Up to eight Sims can fit into the tub at one time, including children. The color and intensity of a tub’s lights can be adjusted for an added level of personalization.
Sims can go skinny dipping, shooing away anyone who isn’t a romantic interest. The hot tub includes a spicy new WooHoo animation that’ll leave any player blushing.
With a high enough handiness skill and the right parts, Sims can enhance their hot tub experience with fancy upgrades. At level 3, an aromatherapy filter can be added. Now your Sims can enjoy the relaxing scents of jasmine, sage, lemon, or peppermint oils, each with different emotion buffs. A stereo can be installed in the tub with a skill level of 5, including all of the available radio stations in the game. Finally, hot tubs can be made unbreakable at level 8.
A new wall speaker for venues comes with the pack, playing all the country songs from the brand new Backyard radio station.
In preparation for the new Spa Day game pack, The Sims 4 received a free update on July 9th! New gameplay features, clothing, objects, interface updates, and a number of bug fixes were included.
Half Walls and Door Locks
Half Walls are now available, with five different sizes to choose from. They can be found under the Walls and Empty Rooms category and decorated with trims and wall patterns. Some objects can even be placed on top of them!
A highly requested feature has arrived with the addition of door locking. Keep out unwanted Sims by clicking on a door and choosing the Lock Door For… option. You can restrict access so that only household members, employees, or the active Sim can pass through it. Doors can be unlocked at any time.
New Clothing and Objects
If you’ve been following the news on the Spa Day game pack coming next week, you may have spotted these full body bath towels. Well they’re here and can be found in Create A Sim for all ages! Children also got a new pair of matching slippers.
The update adds eleven new objects to the catalog. Adorn walls with directional arrow and classic male and female sign decals, and illuminate the room with the Subtle Saucer Light. The Smooth Keeper fence won’t do anything for your Sims’ privacy concerns, but adds a touch of flair to any lot.
New doors are here as well, two of which come with gender restrictions. Placing the King’s or Queen’s Door will allow only men or women to pass through them, perfect for gender-specific bathrooms.
Interface Updates
The My Library tab has been updated with new sorting options, including Size, Price, Lot Type, Room Type, and the number of Sims. On top of that, 28 pre-created lots were added to the library! The size and funds of the current lot in Live Mode are now visible in the sorting options when placing a new lot from the library or Gallery. While in Manage Worlds, you can now place a lot without automatically jumping into Build Mode.
The Lot Info Panel received a new design, making the lot value and dimensions simpler to find. The residential lot bedroom and bathroom fields’ drop downs have been replaced with a text entry field. A new View Venue Type in Gallery button allows you to quickly pull up lots in the My Library tab of the same type as the active lot.
With the View World Info button added to all the game’s World Maps, players can add and edit a description of that world. The View Lot Types button located within will show you which lot types are present in a world.
The Sims 4 Spa Day has officially been announced and is coming July 14th! This is the second game pack for the game, following Outdoor Retreat.
Spa Day introduces a new venue type, known as the Spa. Here your Sims can relax with a massage from one of the Reflexologists, or sweat it out in the sauna. Your Sims can steam things up even more with a new WooHoo interaction!
The pack comes with three pre-built spas and a gym, which can be found in your library. It will also include some new radio songs with the New Age radio station. New objects include a massage chair and mud bath, but details on those will come at a later date. The Aquarium from past games returns, able to hold up to six of any fish found in the game.
Sims can give massages, do Yoga, and Meditate, all of which contribute to the new Wellness skill. As it levels up, Sims will unlock new yoga poses, give better massages, and experience a “special meditation surprise.”
Massages come in six types, including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Aromatherapy, Stone, and Fertility. These can have different effects. The fertility massage, for example, increases a pregnant Sim’s chance of having twins or triplets.
More information to come in the following weeks leading up to launch. Until then!
The Perfect Patio Stuff pack doesn’t offer much in terms of Create A Sim content, instead focusing on providing more objects for the Build Catalog. There are some quality pieces included, however.
One hairstyle was added for both males and females, along with a cute hairstyle for boys. It will no doubt be converted for adults by modders in no time. You may have to adjust the height of your male Sims’ face for the adult hair, as the hairline is fairly high.
Female Sims received one cropped top, with solid color and floral print designs to choose from. Two shirts and a new pair of swim trunks are available for men, perfect for a casual event.
Women got the bulk of the clothing, with four full body outfits. These include a stylish dress, two one-piece bathing suits, and a cooking apron with two graphic design variants, also available for men.

The Newcrest update is here! Born from fans’ desire for more space, the new world of Newcrest is a blank canvas of empty lots. A combination of elements from both Willow Creek and Oasis Springs, Newcrest comes with fifteen lots spanning three neighborhoods.
The Welcome Wagon returns, gracing your Sims’ doorstep with the presence of their neighbors upon moving into a new home. They’ve even brought fruitcake! Invite them inside for a small social event.
A new Don’t Fear the Reagnomper object can be found in the Build catalog, waiting to collect the remains of his fallen gnome brethren. Placing him indoors will cause his eyes to glow.
The tutorial system has been revamped with new introductory popups. These include a short summary of the contents and allow you to easily skip any sections you don’t require help with.
Lastly, we have a new Custom Room Tool and Custom Basement Tool. These allow you to draw custom room shapes. The starting point and last placed segment are indicated by a white sphere.
The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack has been announced for release next week! This new stuff pack will include new objects for your patio and outdoor spaces! After all the busier expansions and packs, it’s about time your Sims got a chance to kick back a little. This pack will come with new hairstyles, swimsuits, a fancy new grill, and the ever-desired hot tub!
Two types of above ground hot tubs will be included in this stuff pack; A wood polymer hot tub, and a much more expensive stone tub. Up to eight Sims can join in on the hot tub fun at the same time, including children! Sims looking for some “intimate” time can shoo away unwanted guests for a private WooHoo session. Handy Sims can upgrade the hot tubs with soothing aromatherapy and stereo enhancements.
.@SimCitizenKen Funny you should ask – there's a new Backyard radio station included in #TheSims4 Perfect Patio Stuff!
SimGuruGraham confirmed via Twitter that there will also be a new Backyard radio station for all those lazy afternoons. Please stay tuned for next week when we learn more!
